FORCED PAY CUTS AMOUNTS TO DICTATORSHIP AND A SURE WAY TO PRESIDENTIAL IMPEACHMENT These two chaps are the worst dictators in the making. Out-right disregard of laws that guide the manner in which salaries should be varied amounts to GROSS VIOLATION OF KENYAS Constitution. There can only be one remedy for Senior State Officers like the President and his Deputy, who grossly violate our Constitution....Impeachment. Yes, the President and his Deputy will be Impeached if they out-rightly disregard the Law. Even if the impeachment process does not succeed, it will deter the President and his Deputy now; including other future Presidents and there Deputies who in their utopia think that they are above or outside the Law. The truth of the matter is that the Kenyas wage bill is 12% of our GDP, 5% higher than the internationally accepted standards. The solution for our problems is therefore not the wage bill, but the inability by the current Jubilee government to increase our GDP by 5%. The other solutions lie in; 1) accountability and transparency; 2) reasonable austerity measures; 3) zero tolerance on corruption; 4) strengthening fiscal policy space; 5) reforming energy subsidies; 6) reforming agriculture subsidies; 7) strengthening our regions socioeconomic and political integration; and 8) Improving on our regions safety and security for the sake of our Investors, Development Partners, World Bank and IMF confidence (and also the Chinese to a small extent). The presidents actions in regard to pay cuts are as a result of his meeting with the IMF Managing Director, Madam Largade. In their meeting, there is a possibility that the President requested for permission to flout a Sovereign Bond. It seems Madam Largade told the President that the Sovereign Bond will have some strings attached to it, which among others include; 1) Voluntary Pay Cuts by senior government officials; and 2) Political goodwill...which explains why the President, his Deputy and the Cabinet are the first to declare that they are voluntarily taking the pay-cut of up to 20% of their salaries...or is it their allowances. God Bless Kenya Always!
