FORENSIC SERVICES FROM USA IS FREE Government has dismissed suggestions that it will pay for the services of the American forensic fire experts who are in Ghana to help unravel the cause of the recent fire outbreaks. Minister of Information and Media Relations, Mahama Ayariga, disclosed this saying the American government expressed interest in helping Ghana undertake investigations into the causes of the frequent fire outbreaks without any payment conditions. He revealed this during a radio interview in London. The minister said government was determined to further train fire personnel to be able to conduct fire investigations thoroughly in the future without any assistance from elsewhere. About six major markets in Accra have been ravaged by fire in the first quarter of this year and government has stated that it will not rule out arson as the cause of the recent market fires hence, the decision to bring in foreign experts.
