FOREVER LOVED SESSION- UPDATE ON ASHLEY Read, share and pray for my client I now consider a dear friend. I understand it is long, but I could not leave many details out. Finally, the post many of you have commented about or waited up for this evening. The topic of Ashley: Please understand a few things as you read this posting. I am only one person. This is not a corporate company and I do not have an assistant unless they are hired for a specific daily task. The only help I do have daily is a staff member who helps me return emails. Otherwise, Love Song is just Me. With that being said, THIS IS MY PASSION. I am a mother of 3 and I own an extremely busy studio. I tend to numerous clients daily and I would not change my occupation for the world. However, I may not be able to update you all on a specific client as much as many of you wish. This page is “Love Song” and does not cater to one specific client. I love all of my clients equally. I have many other things to do then just “update.” My goal as a photographer is to make you all feel engaged and share a closeness with the clients whom I choose to feature. Please understand that I do not give incorrect information ever on this page and it all has been approved by my clients for public sharing. Everything is extremely thought out and often times, clients choose not to update the world on certain circumstances they could be going through. Lastly, this page will never be about a specific client. I value each client and form relationships that will always be cherished. Thank you for your support and understanding. We have done great things together in having this Facebook page for 8 months and I look forward to what 2015 is going to bring to us. Now to the good stuff! I have a update on Mrs. Ashley Bridges, now known also as Mrs. Caughey. It’s been about 4 weeks since I have updated you all on Ashley. Everyday is a roller coaster for this 25 year old mama. She had 3 wishes and amazingly within hours I was able to make them all come true thanks to the help of my clients and followers. As many of you have read in a previous posting, Braiden, her 6 year old son, is obsessed with the Chargers. Her wish was to be able to meet them with him or go to a game. Gratefully we were able to do even better and they were able to go to the Chargers training facility. I packed my girls up, picked up Braiden and Ashley and heading down to San Diego. Braiden was able to roam the locker room, play catch on the field, try on their jerseys and was given the game ball from their prior win a few days before. He was in heaven. Ashley said, “seeing one of Braiden’s dreams come true was probably one of the best days of my life. Seeing his smile and watching him run around the field like he didnt have a care in the world was like I had my old Braiden back before he knew the definition of terminal cancer. My son was just a typically 6 year old for once.” Christmas and New Years were some of her best ones yet. No doctor’s visits, no trips to the ER and the pain of her body was for the most part under control. She opt’d out of getting the body scan scheduled because if the news she was going to receive was negative, she did not want to hear it before the holidays. Of course, we all supported her on this choice. Over Christmas she was able to relax with family and friends. She says, “when you have cancer everything means more. You really enjoy every minute.” She was blessed to see Paisley’s first Christmas and now that Braiden is 6, he gets excited for the fun that comes along with the holiday and understands the true meaning. He was so into decorating the tree, baking cookies and looking at lights . At one point she wasnt sure she would be here for that, for when you have cancer you’re never promised tomorrow. After New Years, astonishingly we were able to grant her second wish, a trip to Big Bear, California with her family. She said, “Big Bear was one of the most relaxing times in my life but we still managed to go bowling, sledding and shopping . We went in the jacuzzi, played tons of board games and cuddled up to tons of Disney movies.” It was the first time both the kids have been to the snow with her. She said, “it was seriously magical and we are forever thankful for Mike and his beautiful cozy cabin. The getaway was perfect.” While in Big Bear, Ashley was getting in the driver’s seat to drive and felt an excruciating pain in her shoulder, she could have sworn it was broken. Could the tumor have grown so large that is broke her shoulder? They would not know until they could get into the doctors the following week because Ashley did not want to wait hours in the local ER. Sunday, the 11th of January, around 9pm I spoke to Ashley. She had only been home for a few hours from her trip and was heading to the ER. She had noticed something on her leg that she had the knee replacement in and it did not seem right. Was this a possible blood clot? Why was her chest hurting, and was her shoulder broken? I met Ashley and her Mother in the ER and we stayed until we got all of the results back around 2am. Her shoulder was not broken, thankfully. However, the tumor is pressing on it and growing fast. That is what is causing the unbearable pain. It is tender to the touch and she must now keep it in a sling. Her leg had a topical infection. The chest pain she was experiencing was from a fracture in her sternum, one caused from a tumor that is growing in her chest. It hurts Ashley to breathe and at this point it is impossible for her to even hold Paisley there. Her goals for 2015 are to stay positive enjoy, every single moment, continue to fight and show her kids how much she loves them everyday. Ashley and I are very close. Clearly in my job I see things more people don’t daily and it can get to you emotionally. On the days that seem to be harder than others, I think about what my clients must feel and how they are getting by. I know for a fact its getting harder and harder each day but somehow Ashley is always able to get back up and make it through the day. Ashley is going to be getting a second opinion as far as her plan of action to try and kill this cancer. Nothing as of yet has been done, but it is in the works. She is working on getting all of her records and getting into more alternative medicine and essential oils. She wants to try something very different than modern medicine. Ashley is now doing a vegan diet. Absolutely no sugar. She is ready and willing to put up one hell of a fight for her kids and is not stopping at a diagnosis. Who is anyone to say she is terminal and only has an allotted time with her children. Together we will pray and believe in God’s almighty hand in this situation. We will believe Ashley will get better, and if she is not able to beat this terrible illness, we will believe she will be at peace and enjoy her final days blessed with her children. Ashley would love to take her children to the zoo and would love to go whale watching with Braiden. The more memories she can create with her children, the better. I am going to be starting a “gofundme” account, on behalf of Ashley, to be able to afford this alternative medicine. We are looking into certain treatment plans and although we don’t have a diffident one in place, 99% of them are “cash pay” only. I will be posting that link to donate with a new update on her treatment plan this Friday. Please continue to pray for Ashley and her family. I personally am grateful for the love and prayers you shower my clients with daily. I know it gives them hope and makes them feel as if they are not alone in this fight. – Lindsey LIKE Love Song Events & Photography to follow my brave clients as they share with you their journey. -lovesongphotography- Southern California Photographer
