FORGIVE AND BE BLESSED “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matthew 6:14&15, NKJV) In this passage Jesus teaches His disciples how to pray. He tells us we ought to conclude our prayers by asking God to forgive us as we have forgiven those who have hurt or offended us. Forgiveness is not an easy thing for many of us. Things done to us and against us in the past are not easy to get over. Many times we want to see those who have offended or hurt us hurting as well. But Jesus teaches us that this kind of attitude hinders the flow of our own blessings. God actually holds our blessings until we surrender and demonstrate the kind of love He has for us. Love forgives and does not hold grudges. Let us not hinder what God would bless us with because of someone elses actions. True, forgiveness does not always come easy, but to not forgive hurts us even worse. Ask God to help you love as He loves. The kind of love that allows one to forgive and let go. Forgiveness is the only way to really inherit and enjoy God’s abundant life. FORGIVE, AND BE BLESSED! Blessings my fb family.
