FOSTER ADOPTION SPOTLIGHT: Misty is a very sweet, elderly, female, Finnish Spitz *Misty is a dog with special needs and NOT recommended for a family with small children or small grandchildren and would much prefer a home without stairs to climb. Hi! I’m Misty, but my foster mom calls me Muppet. I have visited with Santa and have asked him for a quiet, warm and friendly retirement home for Christmas. I would make a great companion dog for the right family. I am sweet, intelligent, trainable, and willing to please and obey you, if you learn my language. You see, I am partially deaf and I do not see very well either. I am affectionate, but I am not a snuggler. I like to lie quietly on a soft bed near your feet and I will follow you everywhere if I sense that you have moved away from me. I can be unpredictable around strangers, small children, other dogs and pets. I am somewhat nervous and may run from you suddenly even though I really have no idea where I am going! Please look out for me ALL the time as I do like to wander and sniff the yard with my foster FURiends. I promise to come back to you if you shake a special can of pebbles that mom has made for me to hear. She loves me very much! I am a vocal dog when I am in my crate at night and I have to go out to potty. I will use a puppy pad, but I would rather go potty outside. I am use to going out every 2 or 3 hours for a break. I enjoy going for very slow strolls and those will tire me out before bedtime.
