FOUR MORE PACKS READY TO GO – OUR FIRST PACKS FOR BABIES VIA THE NEONATAL TRUST! We are so excited about these four packs, they are the first packs that will be going to families with babies who have been in the NICU. The Neonatal Trust, in conjunction with support workers and nurses, will give these packs to families in need whose baby has been in the NICU. Having a baby in hospital, often for a prolonged period, is not only incredibly stressful and harrowing but it is also very expensive. Caregivers often have to leave work early and take a lot of time off work (or even leave work) and there are a lot of extra costs. We feel privileged to be able to give these packs to these families and these lovely wee babies. The really great news is that because of your amazing support we will now be giving packs out via the Neonatal Trust every quarter!!! In the photos we’ve given you a sneak peak inside Pack Number 89 – this is what each baby and family will be receiving. We make sure that all clothing and bedding in these packs is either 100% cotton or 100% merino/wool or other natural fibres. This is really important for these wee babies’ sensitive skin and to avoid overheating too. When you look at this pack you can see how many families and businesses have joined hands together to help these families. Its truly incredible! Just to name a few - you can see: - the beautiful Merino Kids sleeping bag and merino sleepwear; - a gorgeous 100% cotton sleeping bag which will be a great spare bag over the warmer months; - the lovely Babu wool blanket donated by kid republic; - cot sheets donated by families; - a miracle blanket swaddle from the The Sleep Store; - Treasures disposable nappies and some wipes; - Baby First re-usable nappies; - nappy liners from Babyonline; - Earthwise wool and delicates liquid; - socket covers, a Tommee Tippee digital thermometer, and baby sunscreen; - Natural Goddess bum balm; - Johnson and Johnson products (like shampoo, moisturiser, bubble bath); - Bubbly Bubs organic leggings; - Lamington wool sockings; - some beautiful toys, including a lovely talking Cooper bear with book; - lovely baby books, including a fabulous book from Donna Blaber Author; - OHbaby! magazines; and - a huge selection of clothing donated by lots of different families. Bodysuits, all in ones, tops, pants, hats, cardies, booties, socks, shoes and nighties! Plus a lovely gift pack for mum and a nappy stacker too! These packs also have some extra items to our standard packs – a good selection of prem clothing. A special thank you to everyone who has donated these items (you can see a few of the items in photo 5). Sometimes it is hard to convey how amazing individual items are – so in the last photo is of a beautiful pure wool set, handmade by an amazing person who does not wish to be named but just wanted to help.
