FOX SUCKS NO MORE. As far as mutants are concerned. (The Fantastic 4 is another story.) Yeah, I gotta be fair, and make it official. The pretty good X-Men: First Class set the tone. The Wolverine was a great film and X-Men: Days Of Future Past was almost that good. Solid plot & script, motivated characters, great action (Marvel Studios might have a hard time topping a certain Quicksilver scene next year) and VFX that served the story. Maybe if they had stuck with Kitty Pryde (Ellen Page) as the protagonist like in the comic-book masterpiece by Claremont & Byrne, they would have raised the bar some more, and it wouldnt have felt like another Wolverine & Friends flick, and not the ensemble it should be. The movies biggest virtue is that they fixed the bone-headed blunders of X-M: The Last Stand and I guess X-M Origins: Wolverine. Two horrible movies I had the misfortune of seeing. Hey, I even clapped when my favorite X-Man showed up back from oblivion.
