FQ: Please keep this anonymous. My fiancé and I have been together for 11 months. Hes been mentally and physically abusive throughout our relationship. He has a pill problem that relapses every few months and then I get beaten. He is also Bipolar 1 and has depression. Ive given him more than enough chances and every time it is the same bs oh it wont happen again Im sorry blah blah blah. Courts have already been involved and once that was settled everything seemed fine...until he pill relapsed AGAIN. This caused him to beat the sh*t out of me again. I had kicked him out and he came back 5 days later. He was home for two days and decided to overdose on aspirin and slit his wrists. I have a four year old daughter and I was fortunate enough that she was not the one to find him or even see the mess at all. He ended up in the hospital for four days and hes been in a mental hospital since Saturday. Nothing is getting better and he flips so easily even on medication. I love him but for the safety of me and my daughter I need to get out of this and not be afraid anymore. His mom has even told me that he is dangerous and that I need to leave him because he will never learn. My question is for anyone with advice on how to get through this and for moral support. I do love him but I love my life and my daughter more.
