This is a little late, but I am confident that enough WHOLE LOTTA LOVE drivers and overnighters will step up and make this another successful mission! Thanks. ** This is a HUGE transport for 31 dogs and puppies who were saved from certain death in GA, SC, and NC. They are coming from 19 different places, going to more than 15 separate rescues, fosters, and adopters in NC, VA, MD, PA, NJ, NY, CT, and NH. The passengers are benefitting from the continued generosity of a driver couple, Terry and Jim, with a converted shuttle bus who will take all the dogs all the way from GA to Richmond, VA on Sat. The challenge will be to find enough overnighters and drivers to complete their journey north on Sun. Drivers will need to provide your own crates and/or tether the dogs securely in your vehicle. Dogs will have their own leashes. Puppies less than 6 months MUST be crated for their and your safety and welfare. They MUST NOT TOUCH the GROUND during transport. Their immune systems are too fragile. Just transfer them hand-to-hand between vehicles. They will pee and poop in their crates, so just line the crates with newspapers to trash after your leg. They can, however, touch ground at their overnighters. If you can drive a leg (or more!), please respond. Gas and toll money is available.
