FRIDAY 29TH AUGUST WATCH YOUR TONGUE “In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: he that refraineth his lips is wise.” Proverbs 10: 19 It is wise to refrain from saying vain things so that the words of our mouth will not lead us to sin. Holding your tongue is not a sign of weakness or not knowing what to say, but it is a sign of wisdom. It is better not to say anything, than to say what will put you in trouble. The words of your mouth can build or scatter. Words can give life or cause death. Many people have used the mouth to cause damage in other people’s homes and as a result, destroyed their marriages. Many have used their mouths to lie against others. The Bible says that “lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are His delight.” ( Proverbs 12: 21). If you want to delight God, then you have to speak the truth always instead of using your mouth to tear people apart. Friends, you cannot continue to say what you don’t know anything about. You cannot continue giving false account of events you know nothing about. Proverbs 19: 9 says “a false witness shall not be unpunished and he that speaketh lies shall perish.” Brethren, I know you are not planning to perish anytime soon, so change your ways and stop speaking lies about what you don’t know anything of. As you make up your mind today, God will help you in the name of Jesus. WORD OF PRAYER:- Oh Lord, help me to speak the truth always in Jesus’ name, Amen.
