FRIDAY!!! Woooohoooo!! Looking forward to a day full of learning fun....entire first grade, divided into 6 groups, 6 stations. Each group spends 17 minutes at each station. Mine is SS/ history related - comparing-contrasting the activities kids did for fun back in the 1600s compared to today (venn diagram) and then playing a game from the olden days. Should make for a fun morning!! Looking forward to kicking off a week long Thanksgiving break with dinner and possibly evening fun with some special folks. Life can be so challenging sometimes - we have to remind ourselves to take a deep breath, keep a perspective on what we can change & accept what we must learn to adjust to, pray about everything and live each day with as much joy and fun as we can! Each time I am tempted to let myself slip into glum thinking or get frustrated with situations that are unfair, unkind or outright wrong I remind myself of all the things that are good, right and promising. Then I pray for those things/people who have troubled me and move on... Because life is too short to allow things we have no control over to dominate our thinking & behavior!! Love your life today - smile, laugh at yourself, listen to others with all your attention and create memories. I dont live in the past but I sure treasure the memories of shared experiences that make me feel so connected with so many people. Put your phone down, focus on the moment & those you are sharing it with and have/create/immerse yourself in this fabulous Friday. Thats my plan!! Please continue prayers for Konnor...let the healing and preparation for the next part of the battle begin. Grateful for all of you taking time to care & pray!! Happy Friday!!!
