FROM MY MISSIONARY FRIEND DAVE IN MEXICO: "You prayer warriors are AMAZING. Listen to this! The judge handling my case said last Friday that I had no right to be out on bail and intended on sending me to prison to “wait” for my court date to be set. This means indefinitely. For those of you who don’t know Mexico Federal Prisons, they are run by drug cartels and prisoners inside are a source of income because their families on the outside must pay daily for their safety. Regular gang rape is a given and AIDs is pretty sure which makes this a death sentence. Murders guised as suicides are common events as well. My attorney talked to the judge about letting me stay out on bail and he flared at her with the most anti-American rhetoric she has ever heard. “These Americans think they rule they world. They think they can do whatever they want in any country on earth and they need a good lesson…” but unfortunately this judge will not be judging my case because he was moved to another department yesterday. In short, this guy would have made mince meat out of me but now he’s gone. A coincidence? No!, a MIRACLE. Thank you all soooo much for praying. I can leave Mexico this week but must return for my hearing which can not be before October 15th. I love you guys! This is amazing! Thank you for praying me through this step and all the previous ones too."
