FROM THE NEWSROOM: At tonights Board of Finance meeting in Thompson, budget were in order--and instead of chipping away at individual budgets, the Board quickly passed a motion to make one, significant cut to only one of the towns budgets. Thompson officials are currently hoping to set the new referendum date for later this month, indicating that June 25th may be the best date to hold it. They are also unsure of whether voter turn-out would improve if the referendum were held on a Tuesday instead of on a Wednesday. The Board of Selectmen will be holding a special meeting tomorrow to set the final voting date. Tune in tomorrow for the full details.
