FROM THE NEWSROOM: (CRN) Secretary of the State Denise Merrill is reminding state residents about upcoming deadlines to register to vote in the November 4th elections. Merrill says the deadline to register to vote by mail or online is October 21, while people have until October 28 to register to vote in person at their local town hall. “If youre really, really a last minute sort and you miss those other deadlines, it is still possible now in Connecticut to register and vote on Election Day,” says Merrill. About 3,000 people took advantage of that very last opportunity to register on Election Day last year, but Merrill says its a lot better, especially with the ease of online registration, to sign up to vote before election day.
