FROM THE NEWSROOM: Contrary to statements previously made by Thompson First Selectman Paul Lenky, Selectman Kerstin Forrester provided another angle on the subject of doubling the cost of pistol permits in the town. “Its costing us more than $35 to process the gun permits here,” said Forrester, who added that this only leads her to conclude that other towns which had raised their permit application fees in the past couple of years did so for that very reason—because they had to.
