FROM THE NEWSROOM: NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — Connecticuts largest labor organization will be hearing from Democratic Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Greenwich businessman Tom Foley as members decide on endorsements for this years elections. The Connecticut AFL-CIO is holding its biennial political convention in New Haven on Monday and Tuesday. Malloy and Foley, the Republican Partys endorsed candidate for governor, are scheduled to address the group Monday. Democratic Lt. Gov. Nancy Wyman and state Rep. Penny Bacchiochi, the GOPs endorsed candidate for lieutenant governor, also are expected to speak to the AFL-CIO. Its not certain that both Foley and Bacchiochi will be on the November ballot, however. Each faces a primary challenge Aug. 12. Convention delegates are expected to vote on endorsements for state constitutional offices, state legislative seats and five U.S. House of Representatives seats.
