FROM THE NEWSROOM: QVEC Dispatch confirms that at least one patient was transported to an area hospital from the scene of a car versus moped accident on Rt. 6 in Brooklyn Monday night. The accident occurred at about 9:32 p.m., according to dispatchers, near 554 Providence Rd. The Mortlake and East Brooklyn Fire Departments responded to the scene, according to dispatch. It is unknown at this time how many people were injured in the accident, which reportedly closed Rt. 6 for a period of time last night.
