FRUSTRATING yet FUNNY if you have time to read a long post! So my dad wants to be able to watch his Aztecs on TV! He has cox for TV and internet, and AT&T for phone service for 55 years...same number. So I tell him lets bundle it all to cox. 2 and a half hours on the phone with cox..we are all set up to get it transferred. 2 days later cox calls us with an appointment date..oh..never told us you had to come out. They spend 5 hours running all new cable, modems etc. Go to use the phones....he cant call 858 area code from 619. Told he has to dial a 0 first but its an extra charge after being on hold for another 2 hours. Reception is not gray quality on TV also. 4 more hours spent on phone. Thats it....going back to AT&T for phones....screw cox. AT&T takes order and says he cant have his phone number he had after 55 years because they have no record of him being a past client. 10 hours later on the phone they figure it out...he gets his number back...yet they cant activate it for 2 to 3 weeks...so hes without a phone. Finally gets hooked up and AT&T promised him reconnect fee and first month for free....first bill they charged him double....meanwhile cox TV sucks with reception....Thats it...going to direct TV. Called them up..in one day there out here today...service was awesome....no waiting on the phone...picture is great....life is good! Get a knock at the door at 5pm today....omg a sales person from AT&T. ..Sir...do you have AT&T phone services? Um yes y? Where just going around asking if you want your cables upgraded because there all old I said look, we are just fine right now....everything is working great with our phones and we just got Direct TV. Sales person replies....oh we just bought out Direct TV and the who knows what were going to do with all there dishes!; SMFH....I GIVE UP....LMAO!
