FUN FACT: In 2008 Oklahoma lawmakers passed legislation making it a FELONY to file a horses teeth if you were not a licensed veterinarian. Giving the horse a shot (of Rompin or ace etc) was not a felony ..... Filing the teeth was!!! I helped get the law reversed.... Took two years to change it!!! ..... and now its back to how it was before ..... anyone can float teeth.... like horse shoeing ..... Its up to the horse owner to decide who they wanna use. And thats how it should be. Unfortunately, however, as of recently it has been made illegal in many states .....not because equine dentists suck at their jobs ...... But because our presence in the industry is viewed as a threat to many veterinary clinics. Well guess what??? My vet is damn good ..... My vet floats teeth too ...... and is really good at it!!! ..... I am not a threat to my vet and my vet is not a threat to me. Duh. What ever happened to good old fashioned professionalism and whats good for the horse? Geeeez!!! Even if all the vets in the United States floated horses teeth, there would still not be enough of us combined to handle the workload of all the horses in need. In fact, if my job werent ILLEGAL in most states I would start my own school and teach people my methods and secrets for floating teeth.... But I dont wanna go to jail or cause someone else to end up in jail. So Ill just run around like a vigilante and stay under the radar ..... For helping horses ..... because what I do is so terribly evil (sense the sarcasm?) ...... Lololol .... Thankful every day for my loyal customers who truly want whats best for their horses.
