FYI - Calliope River Bridge Road Closure The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) has advised the Calliope River Bridge, near NRG, will be closed to the all traffic except emergency vehicles, from 6.30pm on Friday, 30 August and 4.30am on Monday, 2 September. Unlike previous closures, pedestrian access will also not be available. The closure is being undertaken as the department progresses its program to improve the structural integrity of the bridge. On that weekend, the bridge deck will be raised to allow bearings to be replaced.
