FYI Janice Short. Amorphophallus - a very attractive plant that grows somewhat similar to a caladium. It has a mottled stem and beautiful branched & arching head of foliage, not unlike a fern. When it matures it send up the flower first. It is VERY attractive but it stinks - fertilised by flies! Little cormlets appear on the frond of mature plants. The red seeds mature on the flower stalk and eventually fall off and quickly germinate, so it reproduces in two ways!
