FYI, Right now this Group is in the beginning stages, baby steps. Im hoping to start a full fledged Club right here in VT. Been chatting with the people in Orange County, and some others in the Rutland about the need for an involved Vermont division of Metal detectorists, aka diggers. If we have a good enough response we can start to arrange meetings where we can have face to face conversations about where this will go. Please seek out Permission sites, and let me know what you find. Or if you are part of a Historical society let me know and maybe we can pull some artifacts from the ground for you. Imagine your historical society having an artifacts table, or room? Typical Diggers do this for the Historical value not necessarily treasure. So While we are collectors of the trade (mainly coins) we are also rescuers of relics that will donate some of the of the items found to the owners of the property that directly pertain to the sites history.
