FYI. The Carlson Center is currently accepting applications for a full time Americorps position to work with our office from September 2013 to July 2014. This person will work to develop service-learning opportunities with community-based organizations, preschools, and K-12 schools that serve high-need and/or low-income individuals, families, and communities; will connect current college students with opportunities to engage with educational equity action opportunities—including service-learning courses, fellowship programs, participation in registered student organizations, etc.; and will provide structured reflection opportunities for service-learning students and student interns/volunteers through workshops and other activities, designed to deepen their understanding of educational equity issues.
