FYI firearm license applicants. 202 firearm applications submitted at Australia Post outlets have not been received by Police Licensing Servicest between the 1st and the 7th of July this year. Police Licensing Services (PLS) are hoping to have this issue resolved by this Friday (11th of July). They have also stated that any applications submitted and not received will be processed in order of the date they were originally submitted to the Post Office and not the order they were received by PLS, though we are very interested to hear from anyone who submitted an application during these dates and the time period it takes for their license to appear in the mail. PLS have not stated how, or if, they are going to mitigate this issue in future, or what kind of issue takes 2 weeks to resolve, but lets hope this gets solved soon for those people applying for licenses.
