FYI: my son used the shop-vac method of taking out a yellow jacket nest with great success. The nest was above the front door and was not responding to sprays. After dark, we set up the vac extension tube to be right under the entrance to the nest. In the morning he plugged it the already turned on vac and he said that as the wasps exited the nest they got sucked right into the vac. After a couple of hours there was no activity, so he plugged the hose -- while it was still running, just to be sure -- and put it in the sun. There were a couple of hundred of those little bastards dead in there when he finally opened it up. Just thought youd like to know that the process works without using chemicals of any type!
