FYI only: Proverbs 18:1-24 1 Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom.2 A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.3 When the wicked cometh, then cometh also contempt, and with ignominy reproach.4 The words of a mans mouth are as deep waters, and the wellspring of wisdom as a flowing brook.5 It is not good to accept the person of the wicked, to overthrow the righteous in judgment.6 A fools lips enter into contention, and his mouth calleth for strokes.7 A fools mouth is his destruction, and his lips are the snare of his soul.8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.9 He also that is slothful in his work is brother to him that is a great waster.10 The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.11 The rich mans wealth is his strong city, and as an high wall in his own conceit.12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty, and before honour is humility.13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?15 The heart of the prudent getteth knowledge; and the ear of the wise seeketh knowledge.16 A mans gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.17 He that is first in his own cause seemeth just; but his neighbour cometh and searcheth him.18 The lot causeth contentions to cease, and parteth between the mighty.19 A brother offended is harder to be won than a strong city: and their contentions are like the bars of a castle.20 A mans belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; and with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.22 Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the Lord.23 The poor useth intreaties; but the rich answereth roughly.24 A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. A man that has a desire for more in his life and/or to gain more knowledge for growth or advancement seperates himself and mingles with or gets invovled in an enviornments of those that possess wisdom and knowledge. This also could mean being edcuationed in higher learning; or to socialize with those who have college degrees and are eduacated. However, it is best to achieve your own degree(s). Someone unwise, this person has no pleasure in understanding a person, a circumstance or a thing. However, through an encounter with another person who has understanding. The unlearned and unintelligent person who has foolish actions. This person finds out their own heart. When the wicked come around. They bring negative circumstances that cause shame. This shame is not through gossip and speculation. This shame comes from the proven behavior of a wicked person. The words of a mans mouth can produce wisdom as deep as waters like a flowing brook (none stop). However, this person would have to be wise. This person would have to seek wisdom. It is not good to accept a person who has evil intentions/purposes against someone doing right or that is known for doing the right thing. Someone unwise seeks out someone else to be in constant debates and arguments. Based upon negative debates and arguments this person will go through circumstances of consequences or punishment based on their own behavior and actions. Someone unwise in conversation brings destruction on themselves. If they continue to communicate with no meaning or purpose they hurt themselves not others. The words of a person who practices gossip hurt the innermost part of another persons manner of life/living, their ability to survive. Your belly, what you eat is how you live and how you survive. Some eat very exquisite food. Some eat food that they can afford. Someone lazy is close to someone who is a great waster of things of value and/or something of substance. The name of the Lord is trustworthy and has the power to protect your and give you saftey, a covering, DIVINE MERCY, LOVE, and JUSTICE. A rich man has strength by him having influence in a city. If a rich man is proud and conceited. He will not be able to see beyond his own thinking within the city he has influence in. Before destruction the heart of a man is lifted up in pride and arrogance. Before someone is honored, that person operates or learns to operate in humilty (lowering themselves to properly estimate another person(s) and/or circumstance for the right result(s). Someone answering a matter before they hear the whole matter shall be shamed and appear foolish before others. There is two sides to every story. A mans spirit has potential power to sustain him in times of weakness and/or sickness. But a person wounded by another person is hard to deal with or to deliver that person from being offended. The heart of someone wise, exercises good judgment and will seek knowledge and retain knowledge. A mans own God given gift(s) and abilites will give him opportunities and bring into the face to face presence of great men. A person who has the opportunity to present his purpose first without being contested seems right until somene esle close to him challenges him or tests what he said and what he has done. THAT IS WHY IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO LIVE OFF OF SOMEONE ELSE WISDOM AND/OR SUCCESS. THE KEY IS TO KNOW HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO SEEEK OUT WISDOM RELEVANT FOR YOUR OWN LIFE AND TO EXERCISE DOING WHAT YOU HAVE LEARNED TO THE BEST OF YOUR ABILITIES! PRAY CONCERNING YOUR WEAKNESSES AND STAY IIN THE PRESENCE OF GOD TO PROPERLY DEAL WITH YOUR WEAKNESSES AND STRENGTHS! A SETTLEMENT THAT IS AGREED UPON STOPS DEBATES, ARGUMENTS, AND FIGHTING. Someone close to another person, then INTENTIONALLY DECIDES to WRONG that person. Then attempts to win him over again. That is compared to trying to win over a city. You are what you speak. Your increase or lack of increase comes from what you speak, your own words. Words are so important, they have the power to add to your life; or to take away from your life; or to actually take your life. A man that is on a journey of purpose who finds a wife that further helps him to operate in his purpose. This man has found a good; and based upon that good, God has and will favor the man and his wife. The poor use the method of prayer or praying befofe answering. The rich answer a matter roughly or harshly or make harsh decisions. The rich have little to loose by answer negatively to a person of less influence. Someone who has friends or wants friends have to show themselves as a FRIENDLY person! Some friends can be closer that blood brothers by birth. Written by Ernest E. Johnson, Jr
