FYi, Local motels (and hotels) are home to many of us in the North State. We lack enough safe, affordable housing so motels become long-term homes for many of us. Senior citizens, families with young children, community members with disabilities, former homeowners whose homes have been foreclosed on - many of us increasingly call local motels our home. Its important we understand the rights we have as community members living in motels. We have civil rights, disability rights, fair housing rights, and oftentimes tenants rights. If you live in a motel, please join Legal Services of Northern California in a forum specifically for motel residents to learn about their unique rights. If you know or work with community members who live in motels, please share this flyer with them and post in your agency. This forum is only for motel tenants please. We ask that attendees RSVP so that we can have enough food for all that attend.
