Facebook and Twitter are currently filled with numerous death hoax reports on Rowan Atkinson, an English comedian popularly known as Mr. Bean.In the Travelers Today report, Atkinson committed suicide after an unnamed producer removed the 58-year-old comedian from the Johnny English 3 film project. The Online Threat Alerts (OTA) report showed the Atkinson suicide death hoax allegedly coming from the CNN news update circulating Facebook and Twitter. The fake death report read: English Actor Comedian Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) died at 58 after committing suicide. The comedian committed suicide right after the producer remove him on Johnny English 3. Rowan Atkinson (Mr Bean) recorded a suicide video with a message to his producer and fans around the world. (watch more). The circulating tweets even included an image of Atkinson with the words 1955-2013 Rest in Peace written next to him. The death hoax at Facebook will even ask the users to download a Facebook Media Plug-in to view the suicide video. The OTA report read: But, there is no video and Mr. Bean (Rowan Atkinson) did not commit suicide. If you install the so-called Facebook Media Plug-in by clicking on the link, you will install a malicious computer program that will infect your computer with a virus or Trojan horse. Also, the application will ask the users to allow access in their Facebook account where the pranksters will use it in sending the celebrity death hoax report to all of the listed Facebook friends. The OTA Web site recommended that users must not make Facebook as their genuine news source. If something is posted on Facebook, please verify it by visiting one of the reputable news websites. And, if you asked to install an application to view a video or any form of information, please do not. You web browser is capable of viewing most videos without the need to install any additional plug-in, the OTA Web site suggested. Representatives of Atkinson have already confirmed that the English actor is still alive and doing fine. The comedian was just another victim to the Internet celebrity death hoax, along with other famous stars like Jackie Chan, Celine Dion, Will Smith, Shaggy, Oprah Winfrey, Eminem, Angelina Jolie and Miley Cyrus.
