Facebook disabled my account because I had a picture of the shaahadah. Lets think about this. Is there something offensive in these pictures? A woman can pose virtually naked without any problems but a statement expressing the Oneness of Allah is unacceptable This is the case for 2 reasons: 1) The blind and constant media frenzy around anything that is anti-islam and their gathering around the shahaadah as a sign of terrorist groups 2) So called mujahideen who have tried to claim this as a motif and symbol of their group. In reality, these idiots dont have much to do with Islam yet they are the fuel for the fire of islamaphobia which the media stokes with their bigoted reporting. But this signals something more serious. Now the very foundations are being targeted by the fitna-makers. The hijab/niqab have already been targeted, now the shahaadah and Allah knows best what will be next. May Allah keep our emaan safe in these days where a person wakes up a muslim but goes to sleep a disbeliever.
