Facebook friends: Is there anyone who thinks the Hobbit movies are equally as good as the Lord of the Rings trilogy? Because Id be curious to hear your opinions. I havent seen the third Hobbit movie yet, but I think An Unexpected Journey was kind of a failure as a film... and while Desolation of Smaug was an improvement, I still felt like the story was being held back from greatness because of too much filler. Does the third movie eliminate these problems? Im kind of hoping Peter Jackson listened to the complaints of his fans and made improvements to the story, kind of like George Lucas did with the Star Wars prequels (in my opinion, Episode III actually turned out to be better than Return of the Jedi was). But since the Hobbit movies were all filmed at around the same time, Im not sure that would have been possible :/ What do you guys think?
