Facing Family One Day At a Glance ROMANS 3:9 What then? are we better than they? No, in no wise: for we have before proved both Jews and Gentiles, that they are all under sin; I have heard that the Jewish tribe is a chosen people. I have heard that they believe upon the Old Testament, but not the new. So this leads me to believe that if Jews, just as gentiles are under the curse of sin, than they too are in need of salvation. Now if they don’t read or believe in the New Testament, which is where Jesus comes into action, then how will they know that they must receive the gift of the lamb? This question has come into play many of times through the years, and the answer is…..blessed are those who believe without seeing. If a Jew is taught not to believe in the New Testament, that Jesus was a prophet, and nothing more, than they are trained up in the way to go, which would be straight to hell. Since the point of time came that there was not enough sacrificial lambs to be slaughtered, GOD sent the final Lamb. So let’s just say you are reading a book, it has an ending, and then one comes along and adds to it. Would you question the matter, knowing that is was an addition, or would you dive into it feet first, whole heartedly, and accept the truth for what it is? Would you question everything that you have ever known because it was all under a different set of rules, or would you embrace the free life given to you on account of GOD’s willing son? This is where the rubber the met the road. To look outside the box. You say, well than there are other books that can still be written. NOPE. The last verses of the Holy Bible put that argument down before it was brought up. REVELATION 22:18-19 18 For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; 19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book. Apparently HE knows what he is doing, and in advance for that matter. So back to square one, why are the Jewish Tribe a chosen people? Well to put it simply, we can understand that child molesters have most likely been molested by an elder, beating husbands normally seen the same from the acts of their parent(s), and most every act of defiance is excused as a lesson not learned growing up. With this said, imagine for a moment a child of a Jewish ascent is taught that the New Testament is not valid, thus never receiving Christ. Then at one point in their earthly walk, they need the internal chance, and they cry out to GOD for his forgiveness. He then sends his son, to this chosen people, and he receives him, despite what he was taught to do. He believed GOD over his own family’s values. He had an internal desire to be one with the Father, and that included the belief that his son was necessary to inherit the kingdom. This alone speaks volumes about the Jewish tribe, not only the deep transgressions that were thrown on them from the human race, but the spiritual wall that was built before Jesus even came. How blessed a child of GOD it is to know only that he was born of a Jewish descent, yet believed upon Jesus. Oh what a chosen generation of love that would have to be to the Father.
