Facing mistakes and looking at my own part in them is humbling at - TopicsExpress

Facing mistakes and looking at my own part in them is humbling at the very least. It is ultimately where the anger toward others lies. It is my own forgiveness I seek for failing to see signs right in front of me, not setting stronger boundaries and above all else not enable another. I work with mental health and substance abuse and feel I should have seen more, known more and done more. I will find the way to get past the anger that masks my own sadness of feeling I failed myself and others and ultimately forgive myself. Forgiveness is never about the other persons. They are not innocent because they are forgiven because the forgiveness is really letting go of what others have done, set stronger boundaries and move forward wishing them the best. I do feel that way when I have those peeks into the walls I keep to avoid the pain. I know I will get there because I have already been there many times. Now, I need to start taking my own inventory. To friends who stick with me, though you may only be facebook friends, thanks.
