On Hwy 95 heading south into Theodosia, MO. Drove by these old structures for the past eight years and decided to stop today to get some pictures. Lucky for me Mr. Bill Mayham (sp?) was there checking on his cattle and he was kind enough to let me in to take some pictures and give me a history of these structures. There is a row of six of these buildings. Mr. Mayham says they are charcoal kilns. He said he started working for the original owner of these kilns back in the 1950s. The charcoal was hauled to the Royal Oaks Charcoal Company in Branson Missouri. Love old structures and love learning about the history of this beautiful state even more!
