Fact about Cordyceps In the early 1700s, a French historian, P. Du Halde, experienced the effects of Cordyceps in China after long and exhausted explorations. In those days, Cordyceps was a form of tribute to the Emperor. Also, Cordyceps was described as a rare item of medicinal importance that grew in Tibet. A few hundred years later, the status and price of Cordyceps remained unchanged where only the upper classes could afford it as a “tonic food”.
