Fact of the day #Ramadan - Day 26 In Islam, there is no concept - TopicsExpress

Fact of the day #Ramadan - Day 26 In Islam, there is no concept of achieving repentance through confessing your sins to someone. In fact, one should avoid exposing their sins to others; it should be kept as something personal between you and your Lord. The only way to seek true salvation is by communicating directly with God, not through a different medium. It is even worse to expose the sins of another person, especially behind their back. This just creates more back-biting, gossip and unnecessary suspicions. We should also avoid judging a person’s faith, based on their shortcomings or the actions they undertake, as only God knows what’s truly in their hearts. “O you who believe! Avoid much [negative] assumption. Indeed, some assumption (suspicion) is sin. And spy not, neither backbite one another. Would one of you like to eat the flesh of his dead brother? You would detest it. And fear Allâh. Verily, Allâh is the One who accepts repentance, the most merciful.” – Quran: 49:12
