Facts stand on their own. They are open to challenge. Their strength increases as they gain the support of other facts. You may not like the facts, they may be challenging and inconvenient (Right, Al Gore?), but unless you can propose and support an alternative argument of supporting FACTS, you cant ignore the power of their effort to help add to our quest to describe the nature of the observable universe and the nature of man in the universe. One definition of denying reality must be the emotional defense of an indefensible position or belief based solely on unsupportable arguments denying what the current best facts describe i.e., ...Ok, so there were dinosaurs. They were actually on Noahs ark. Facts are one way to help us build a description of the nature of our universe on a firm base (like a base of stone :)). Dueling belief systems that all claim all the other belief systems are all wrong, and that we are the only ones that have knowledge of the true nature of our universe, in ongoing defiance of what supporting systems of facts describe, are paths that are deficient in adding to and clarifying our understanding the nature of the universe. These will prove to be failed systems built on a faulty foundation (like a foundation of sand :) ). The preponderance of factual evidence across many disciplines of science supports the assertion that the factual foundations of evolution help us improve our understanding of the nature of the universe and the nature of man. You may not like it, but you cannot ignore it either.
