Faith is knowing God is our greatest ally in this struggle of life. As each challenge escalates, we have composure in His care. For those bewildered and traumatized by tragedy, there is a peace available, and given freely. The understanding may or may not come later. I have faced death, loss, a handicapped child, financial ruin, and extreme anguish. I am not speaking from a theoretical theology. So it was never my strength, force of will, courage, self-discipline or any other attribute that brought me through. I am as baffled by His mercy to me as I am astounded by the beauty I see. Isaiah 61 remains the cornerstone of Jesus attitude towards us. I am one who has this experience, and I still have compassion for those in the mix who struggle or who have concluded differently. My encouragement doesnt come cheaply. It was never meant to. Neither will yours. But He is worth it.
