Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. You simply know it is true. I think faith is a gift from God, after you first believe in who Jesus was and what He did. It took just a little faith, hoping that salvation was indeed true. After that initial mustard seed of faith, God reveals Himself to those who trusted and believed in Him. Being saved is a gift, given freely by God to those who believe in Christ. It is nothing you can conjure up and believe in your imagination, and there is nothing that you can do to earn or deserve it. You truly believe and have faith, because you have the evidence within yourself. God is alive and real, waiting for those who will trust and love Him and will accept the great love and mercy He has show towards us. Its our choice to accept this gift or or decide against it, which sadly some people have deprived themselves sharing their lives with God, both for now and for eternity.
