Faith moves the hand of God. Yet, somewhere along the line, a lot - TopicsExpress

Faith moves the hand of God. Yet, somewhere along the line, a lot of Christians have fallen into a “need” mentality where they assume that the greater the need, the greater God will move on their behalf. The truth is that Jesus pointed out people’s faith throughout the Gospels as the reason they received healing or whatever they needed. Many were sick in the times of Jesus, but those who reached out in faith were the ones who got healed. This proves that our needs don’t move mountains. Our sorrow doesn’t move mountains. Our pain doesn’t move mountains. Only faith moves mountains! So, if we reach the point where we find ourselves saying, “I believe in God and in His Son, Jesus. I believe that His Word is true and feel like I’m doing all that I know to do, but nothing seems to be changing.” Then, we may need to check our heart and ask ourselves, “Am I really trusting Jesus?” When it comes to getting your prayers answered, it’s good to know that sometimes answers come really quickly. Other times, they don’t. Why is this? Because sometimes there is a waiting time. You don’t plant a watermelon seed one day, go out into the yard the next and then get angry when you don’t see two hundred watermelons in the yard, do you? No, you recognize that there is a time to sow, a time for the thing to grow, and a time for you to reap. In praying for things, it’s good to know that the growing time is shorter for some things and longer for others. There are many factors involved and you want to make sure that you’re not hindering anything. Be sure you’re walking in love with others, asking for forgiveness if you mess up and being faithful to spend time in prayer and in the Bible. During this time, you shouldn’t think that absolutely nothing is happening. Something is happening whether you see it or not. Every time you trust Jesus, you make strides towards your answer. Every time you speak the Word in faith, something happens both in the spirit realm and in your own soulish realm. In the spirit realm, God is working things out. You’re fighting demons with the Word, your angels are at work and your prayers are actually changing circumstances around you. During that time, God is also working on your character. That’s not mere waiting time. It’s patience building time; character building time. Luke 8:15 says, “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.” The fruit, or manifestation of our prayer, comes with patience. Love, faith and patience are a dynamic trio!
