Faith that changes circumstances Theo Schoultz 1Peter ;Satan is out like a roaring Lion to devour us , but Lamentations 3 says: 1. This I recall ; the faithfull love of the Lord never ends; His mercies never ends ; therefore I have hope. 2. It is through His loving kindness that we are not [devoured] /consumed. His mercies are afresh every morning. Good morning brothers and sisters, It’s a privilege to be here this morning and to have a quiet time in God’s presence and to share a few words with you. Let me ask you ; Which one here today is worried about the state of the world out there and who is scared of the future of your families? Best advice is ; 3. In turbulent times like we are living in , we as Christians should stand together in faith and prayer against all that is bad.. James 4;6 God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace to the humble. 7 Be subject therefore unto God; but resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 4. For if we humble ourselves and call on the name of the Lord, He shall come to our rescue . James4;6 God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble. Satan is out to try and wipe out Christianity , he wants to remove the Bible and Religion and all that is moral from society, for he knows if he can get to our children he will have the next generation who is , the church of tomorrow. Few churches are still open on Sunday nights .He has such a huge grip on people today that sin, is excepted as a way of life. T.v. and other things have taken Gods place in peoples lives. ] We know God’s mercies never ceases or dries up , God promised if we call on Him He shall answer us. 1. Psalm 50;15 “ then call on me when you are in trouble , and I will rescue you, and you will give me glory. 2. Have faith and believe ; ……. God is good to those who seeketh Him . We must realize Christianity is no safeguard against trials and tribulations. Look at [a]Job…. a man after God’s heart ,yet he lost everything. [b]Jesus was chastised and crucified .[c] St Paul said ; trials and tribulations strengthens our faith and relationship with God . In JOHN 15 Jesus says I am the vine, my Father the farmer , every branch in Me that bears no fruit is taken away, but every branch that bears fruit is cleansed/ pruned that it may bear more fruit .Abide in Me and I in you for as the branch can’t bear fruit on it’s own ,neither can you except you abide in Me. Brothers and sisters we must be crucified unto ourselves and live for Jesus . with Spirit ,Body an Soul ., for He is the Way, the Truth and the Life and no –one will get to the Father but through Him. He must increase and we must decrease[John 3;30] 1. Although we are Christians ,troubles will come our way 2. Satan is like roaring Lion out to devour us, our children ,our country, whole of humanity, 3. but have faith ‘ God’s mercies is afresh every morning and He is found by those who seeks Him ,he helps and protects them. 4. We must abide in the vine Jesus the Son of God . 5. God expects us to bear the fruit of His indwelling Holy Spirit namely; 6. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self-controll and Faithfulness,…. 7. SINCE WE ARE living by the Spirit;……… let us follow the Spirit’s lead in every part of our lives 8. Let us share each others burdens , whilst bearing the fruit of God and in this way obey the law of Jesus Christ,,, WE must fight the fight of faith. 9. whilst holding steadfast onto your faith in God the Father , God the Son and God the Holy Spirit .Lets us pray,pray and pray and God will protect us and our offspring. God will bless us and answer your prayers. The Lord will smile upon you and be gracious on you, The Lord will show His favour and give you His peace, always pray, withstand Satan and he shall flee from you. We all are worried about the future of of children ,grandchildren , You may ask: What is the answer to Satan’s attack and the decay of this world , it seems to have no end,? The answer is not to be miserable, don’t be as people without hope. The answer is prayer and faithfull intersession for our families. Remember ;JOH 14;6 Jesus said; I am the way, and the truth, and the life: Jesus have already overcome him and the world .
