Fall (Unpaid) Internship at the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum in NY: Drawings, Prints & Graphic Design Internship (Fall 2013) This internship is unpaid, and requires a commitment of one full day of work, from 9AM-5PM (the day of the week is flexible depending on the availability of the candidate). The position will give the intern an opportunity to handle both matted and un-matted drawings and prints dating from the 15th-21st centuries, as well as some 20th century posters and contemporary graphic design material. Paper handling training, if required, will be provided by the Curatorial Assistant for Drawings, Prints & Graphic Design and the Paper Conservator. The intern will work with the Curatorial Assistant and the Photographer to prepare and set up individual works to be photographed. While the position is unpaid, the intern will receive a Museum ID that will give them complimentary admission to most museums in New York City for the full duration on the internship. Please note that this position is based in Newark, NJ. There is a shuttle bus that is available for transportation to and from the facility that leaves from and returns to Chelsea each day, free of charge.
