The season also brings with it the newest selection in the “One Book” series, "The Cellist of Sarajevo" by Steven Galloway, a novel about war and the endurance of the human spirit.. The One Book, One Community Program, a collaboration of about 70 public libraries in central Pennsylvlania, now in its 10th year, promotes the value of reading by recommending a compelling book that links the community in a common conversation. A series of library sponsored programs encourages dialogue about the book, and fosters lifelong learning and the development of a strong community identity.
