Fall like stretch rolls on - now 11 of past 12 days below normal. If you think this is rare, you are right. The mid way point of September and the average temperature is the coolest to date since 1993. Skies are brightening late this afternoon and we will see clearing tonight. We could use the furnace again as area low temperatures dip well into the 40s. Coolest temp away from the city. Beautiful weather here for the rest of week if you dont mind it on the cool side. Sunny days forecast to finish off the work week and we will see slow warming - back to the 70s rest of the week. Next rain threat at this distance is timed from Saturday evening when showers and thunderstorms are possible. A windy warm up Saturday to 80° or warmer before the rain settles in. Summer ends Monday and Fall officially begins at 10:29 PM Monday night. The first day of fall will be a transition day to more cool air perhaps driving down area temps into the 30s away from he city again by next Wednesday morning.
