False Research-you could prove this researcher wrong. Some research findings shared yesterday on citizen TV shocked me and appeared untrue. This research was testing the motivation factors that push young people to join Militia groups like alshabab and specifically MRC at the Kenyan coast.One of the findings is the effect of being raised by single mothers-The researcher argues that a majority of the members of these militia groups are from single mother homes and the absence of a father figure in their lives drives them to criminal activity like joining the said militia groups. Of course my opinion on single mothers is biased and defensive because i believe they are the strongest of all human species; playing out 2 parental roles is no mean business. But back to the research findings, does anyone here think that lack of a father figure, drives children to criminal activities?Are we saying that mothers are bad role models?
