Family & Friends: As some of you know, The Boy (Dorian) has been recovering from a bacterial infection. After taking him to see a physician on Tuesday morning and following her directives, including disbursement of medication, Dorian was kept home to rest and recover. By Thursday night, he was lethargic and slept through Friday. We were scheduled to attend his Freshman Preparatory Summer Program award ceremony at The Midtown Center on Saturday morning, but his father and I agreed one more day of rest would benefit him as he prepared to travel on Sunday. Yesterday, Dorian appeared to be feeling better, thus his father and I agreed that he would likely be well enough to travel. They left Chicago and arrived at their destination yesterday afternoon. This morning, before daybreak, Dorians father informed me that Dorian was not well, they were returning to Chicago, and to meet them at the hospital. They are en route now, and Im headed to meet them. It is for this reason I am soliciting the prayers of my entire village. Yesterday, my pastor, L Bernard Jakes reminded me during 8 a.m. worship that prayer signals God that you want God to do something for you. The something - Father, touch my baby boys body with your Hand of Healing, if you please. My request has been made known. No anxiety, here! Thanking you, God, in advance (Philippians 4:6). Thank you, family, for your prayers.
