Family Weekend for the Restorative Justice (RJ) Participants of the Worcester Female Correctional Centre at the Breederiver Management Area. Wow wow wow what an experience. The Saturday 01 November 2014 we had the RJ participant`s family for three sessions at the Pollsmoor Training centre. Reverend Russel Van Wyk ministered to them in a powerful way. Theme for the week end was Hope & Healing for the wounded family. Sunday 02 November 2014 we took the family of the RJ participants to the Worcester Female Correctional Centre and had a family restoration service with female ex offenders sharing testimonies and Reverend Jonathan Clayton ministering a powerful message. The families sat together around tables and enjoyed a delicious meal. The family responded very positively to the sessions on both days, with family members going forward for their own personal restoration on Saturday and Sunday joining hands with their loved ones behind bars for Family Restoration. Commends form family & RJ Participants (DCS Clients) The week end was awesome I now understand my mother better and why she committed the crime I realized the impact of my mother not having ground up with her biological parent but reared in a foster home I could understand myself better and where I needed healing of my past We experienced the joy of a client being reconciled with her mother after ten years DCS Senior Official: I am so glad tat you came to present the RJ Process because it had a powerful impact at Worcester Female Centre, someone told me that there is a real change in the atmosphere at the Worcester Female Centre.
