[Fan Account] 131121 Namjoon and Yoongi @ a Hip Hop Radio Show I am not Korean and don’t understand 100% but I definitely understand the basic gist of what happened today Today, I, along with a friend, got to attend this hip hop radio show with many different hip hop artists in a cafe in Seoul. Two of the invited guests were Namjoon (Rap Monster) and Yoongi (Suga). So Namjoon and Yoongi, as many fans should know, were underground rappers before debuting as 방탄소년단. They have been rapping for quite a while now. They got invited to this show with other rappers: B-free, Okasion, Deepflow, and … Of course, you invite the two and you should expect girls to come with their massive cameras and want to see their idols. However, things started to go wrong when mainly B-free starting calling out saying all the people were only here for Bangtan and a picture was uploaded on Instagram saying how it was crazy. The hosts were asking questions and trying to get everyone to talk, but B-free had to get a little nasty at this point. He basically took over on the mic and started drilling Bangtan with questions regarding their decision to become idols and just degrading them as rappers just because they have the word “idol” attached to their name. Namjoon and Yoongi kept it cool and responded with dignity, but you could totally tell from the look in their eyes that their spirits just fell. They weren’t invited to be dissed and slapped in the face. I am pretty sure it was for the collective love and spirit of hip hop. I am not trying to attack B-free, but I definitely think his actions were uncalled for. At point he even called Suga “사탕” meaning candy and Suga even spelled his name for him. I thought that was childish of him to do. On the matter of ARMYs being the one to blame… I was in the front next to all the girls and nobody said a word. There wasn’t shouting or anyone calling their names. Girls just recorded video or took photos calmly and listened to the whole session. After the show and the boys doing their rap for us all, everyone gathered outside and it looked like the organizers were apologizing to Namjoon and Yoongi and girls started to backlash B-free for what he did. This is just what I witnessed and understood from the whole event. I am sure a translation or correct account will come around from Korean sources. PS: I don’t know where people are getting that ARMYs are the bad guys here and they shouldn’t have gone and even saying this is what sasaeng fans do?! woah… wait a minute. I was there too to support the boys, but there was absolutely none of that going on. I don’t know where that information came from, but I WAS THERE… ( cr : squishette )
