FanQ: In my divorce my ex is required to pay child support and half of medical expenses, he has never paid a dime of the medical bills even though its court ordered. I was trying to keep up with payments on my own. No child support in almost a year so I couldnt pay like I should have. Today I was served by an officer and have court in 3 weeks for these bills, as they are in collections now. Guys its bad, Its THOUSANDS of dollars for the bill I have to pay on the court date. If I cannot bring the Money for the bills on the Court date I was given I can be arrested on the spot. What should I do? Should i tell the judge why i fell behind or will it sound like an excuse? Also I need your experience with court ordered income withholding from his checks for child support. He keeps job jumping to avoid CS so I can have the judge issue a withholding order so next time I dont have to hunt his job down, I can just send the order to his new employer (bc he ALWAYS posts his new job on fb, and someone will tell me where hes working) plus with his job being in such a public position it wont be hard to find anyway! But I need your experience with this withholding order and how it works. We are currently going through the state; DHS CS services and its just a joke. Also have you all ever had your CS lowered and it caught you off guard? Im not money hungry or anything, but he makes over $5k a week and Im a full time student and a cleaning lady as well. I need it to go up or either ask for half of child care for my 3 children. Also he told me he received $70k six months ago and I hoped he would give us a little of that since he was so far being on CS, but he didnt. He makes that much and Im asking for only $200 extra a month for child care. He also has not seen his children in 18 months, and doesnt really wish to. But before we judge him, Im grateful he made the choice to stay away if he cannot be a good example/father, then maybe its best he just stay out. Any other suggestions. Currently I (am supposed to, but dont) receive $1000/month. I would like $1200. May seem like a lot, and it is! But for 3 kids- childcare alone is $2200 a month. So its really not. I only make 140 a week which only covers gas OR groceries any suggestions ladies? I asked him about the bill last week, he said I was on my own bc he has to pay his bills first or he cant work and pay CS. (Which pisses me off bc he dont even pay that) any advice?
