Farewell Europe. Youve been so good to me! What an unbelievable, amazing and unforgettable six months! Hot summer days, autumn colours, ice and snow! Being high in the sky in a hot air balloon then storeys underground in an ancient city. Sleeping under the stars, not sleeping at all. Hostels, hotels, caravans and boatels. Sailing and snorkelling in crystal clear waters, floating effortlessly in salty seas, sinking and almost drowning in fresh water lakes. Sun baking, nudie swimming, lilo-ing, climbing mountains, gazing down at the clouds, laying lazily in flower meadows, rocking up to a new place with no plans and nowhere to stay, chance meetings, breaking into abandoned theme parks, hitching rides, getting lost in a forest, surprise festivals, concerts, picnics, feasting! Oh the feasting! Dining in the dark. Home- cooked meals. BBQs. Drinking! Becoming a lover of beer, Chupitos, Kalimotxo, unexpected big nights, crowd surfing, Game of Life, Flip Cup, Bullshit, Jenga, Kings, Pass the Pringle and Scrabble. Dancing on bars, beds and buses, plate-smashing, singing until we lost our voices, running amok in the rain, star jumping, bike riding, quad biking, beer biking, white water rafting, mowing down paths in an army tank! Pirate parties, birthday parties, pool parties, room parties. Hostel room shenanigans in general. Hot springs, waterfalls, rivers, lakes and seas. Being chased by bees, close calls with jellyfish, sharing a smoke with a donkey and being attacked by a pelican. Cats at bars, on cars and just strange places in general. Museums, mosques, and markets. Churches and castles. The kindness of strangers. Deep and meaningful conversations with people you just met, running from the police, chasing the northern lights, sledding with huskies, countless sunsets and sunrises, being so far north there is no sunrise or sunset! Never have I laughed so hard, smiled so much or felt so alive! None of this would have been what it was without meeting you guys- thanks for sharing these experiences with me and making them special! I hope to see you again!
