Farewell Sr. Mary Laura Sr. Mary Laura, our Pastoral Associate, - TopicsExpress

Farewell Sr. Mary Laura Sr. Mary Laura, our Pastoral Associate, will be leaving our parish in early August for a new position with her order, the Sisters of St. Mary of Namur. Many of you have known Sister Mary Laura for many years as she has not only spent the last six years with us, but also was at St. Christopher from September 1986 until December 1990 and integral to rebuilding the church and strengthening the parish community after the 1988 fire. While at our parish, she was often one of the first people that new parishioners met, as she registered many new families over the years. She also was the coordinator of our RCIA process, Minister of the Sick and Homebound, a liaison to Parish Council, Liturgy Committee and Faith Formation Committee, not to mention a big support to the parish staff. The Mission Nicaragua project was started under her mentoring and she led 5 missionary trips. Needless to say, Sr. Mary Laura is a people person, a confidant as well as a minister at our parish and she will be missed by many. On the weekend of July 26/27, Sr. Mary Laura will be giving a gospel reflection at each Mass. Afterwards there will be refreshments in the Narthex and time for saying good-bye and good luck as Sister Mary Laura takes on the position of First Councilor to the Provincial of the Sisters of Saint Mary. Please join us and bring a plate of goodies to share. NEW ADDRESS Sr. Mary Laura Lesniak: St. Mary’s Center 241 Lafayette Ave, Buffalo 14213 Tele. 716-884-8221
